Terms & conditions

These terms govern purchases from washletsdirect.co.uk. Read them with our Delivery, Returns, Privacy, Warranty and Complaints pages.

1. Who you are dealing with

The seller is BMF Limited trading as Washlets Direct, company number 05238759, VAT 852975876. Registered office: Ground Floor, Techno Centre, Station Road, Horsforth, Leeds LS18 5BJ. Showroom and office (appointment only): 248 Meanwood Road, Leeds LS7 2HZ. Email [email protected]. Phone 0113 266 0096.

We are an approved UK retailer of the TOTO, Geberit and Villeroy & Boch ranges we list. We supply genuine UK-relevant products, not grey imports.

2. Consumers and trade customers

Consumer means an individual buying for personal use and not for resale or a trade. Consumers have cooling-off rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Trade / business customers (including a logged-in trade account) buy for use in a business. The 14-day cooling-off right does not apply. Prices may be shown excluding VAT. Returns after delivery are by written agreement only and may carry a restocking fee. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

3. How the contract is formed

Your order is an offer. The acknowledgement email is not acceptance. The contract is formed when we send a despatch or order-confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order for stock, obvious pricing errors or legal reasons and will refund any payment taken.

4. Products and “complete sets”

We describe products carefully, including compatibility notes. Images are illustrative; finishes can vary under different lighting. If a dimension or finish is critical, confirm with us before you order.

A TOTO “complete set” on this website is the WASHLET plus its matching ceramic pan unless the product page says otherwise. The connecting set, WC frame and flush plate are sold separately. A TOTO frame is not mandatory for every installation — many UK frames will carry the pan — but TOTO auto-flush kits and some NEOREST controls are designed around the matching TOTO frame and plate. Check the product page extras before you buy.

5. Prices, VAT and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT unless you are viewing ex-VAT as a trade customer or a page says otherwise. Delivery cost is shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place the order, or according to the method you choose. We may correct obvious pricing errors.

Eligible disabled customers may request VAT relief on qualifying shower toilets. That is a separate written declaration — see VAT relief. The public Inc/Ex VAT toggle is a display tool, not a VAT-relief claim.

6. Delivery

Lead times follow the rules on the Delivery information page and the available-from date on each product. Dates are estimates. Risk passes on delivery; title passes when we have payment in full. Inspect cartons on arrival as described on that page.

7. Installation and safety

We are supply only unless we agree something else in writing. Installation must be done by a competent person following the manufacturer instructions and applicable Building Regulations (including Part P for the electrical connection where required). Most shower toilets need a cold-water feed and a switched fused spur near the WC. Incorrect installation can void the manufacturer warranty and create a safety risk. We are not liable for installation errors.

Shower toilets are a hygiene product, not a medical device.

8. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Consumer cooling-off, restocking (only outside the 14-day window, and only if we agree), and fault claims are set out in the Returns & refunds policy, including the model cancellation form. A 24-hour request to photograph transit damage is for the carrier claim and does not limit Consumer Rights Act remedies.

9. Warranty

Manufacturer guarantees apply as printed with the product and on our Warranty page. They require correct installation and use. They sit alongside, and do not replace, your statutory rights.

10. Liability

Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that English law does not allow us to limit. We are not liable for installation errors, failure to follow instructions, or business / indirect loss except where the law says otherwise. For consumers, statutory rights remain unaffected.

11. Privacy

Personal data is handled under our Privacy policy and Cookie policy.

12. Complaints

Email [email protected]. If we cannot resolve the issue, see Complaints & ADR.

13. Governing law

English law applies. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Consumers who live in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring a claim in their home courts.
